At the end of our Science unit on Weather, my kiddos had the chance to tie together science, art and poetry with a great project. I read out loud a number of weather poems. Each student then chose one to illustrate using construction paper and chalk. I was pleasantly surprised how well they were able to portray difficult concepts such as wind and clouds. Here are a few of my favourites.

Sleeping Outdoors. The poem mentions sleeping under a tree and stars. |
Fog. The famous image of the fog rolling in on little cat feet! |
A Castle in the Clouds. |
The North Wind. I love the ship and the tree!
See You Soon! |
